Laura Labrin

laural Laura Labrin has the ability to transform an object, any object, into a marvellous wearable art piece. Her inspirations come from far and wonderful places especially Latin America and Spain.

Laura has worked for the National Institute for Circus Arts (NICA) as a costume technician in 2004 and 2005. She was one of three costume designers for "A time of seeing this" and worked backstage as dresser for numerous shows.

Laura won 1st prize in the 2004 recycled/wearable art category in the Victorian Fashion Awards and collaborated with Stella Cadzow in winning 1st prize for the Crazy Gowns category of the Countess Fashion House earlier this year.

Laura will stop at nothing to achieve her dream of working in the costume department for major theatre shows. That's why this year she's working overtime for YOU, to experience the weird, the exotic, the glamour, the fun and passion of her costumes.
