Red Dress
In November 2004, my friend, Charlie, attended her first school formal. She asked me to make her a "dress to die for"! Because the silk Charlie wanted was very expensive, we decided on a fish-tail skirt, to save on fabric. Another great saving was that I made the material for her bodice out of scraps of red fabric laying around at home. The result was fantastic: Best in Show!

Steel Pier
Each of us has been given the assignment of designing costumes for the 1930s musical, Steel Pier, which is being produced by the CLOC theatre company in October 2005. Although our designs won't be used for this year's show, the best designer, as judged by CLOC, will be invited to design the costumes for a season next year. This is an ongoing competition/scholarship that the CLOC Theatre offers Swinburne costume students. Here are some of my designs.
