Amy's Bio

amyjoy Amy Joy Barber has always had a wild imagination and a love for colour and excitement.

She was taught to sew at the bright age of three and comes from a long line of professional dressmakers: she has the craft in her blood!

Amy has studied fashion, small business management, clothing production and now costume.

She has run her own small business making and selling clothes and accessories and worked for a significant amount of time in retail, visual merchandising and customer service.

In 2004 Amy Joy made the costumes for the lead performers in NICA's Inferno. She recently enjoyed making costumes for a troupe of performers representing Australia at the 2005 World Expo in Japan. Amy currently works at JC Westend Costume Hire on the weekends.

Amy is our Marketing Manager and Art Director for our mid-year parade, Bobby Sock's Variety Show. She brings motivation and a balanced and positive attitude to team meetings.

Amy loves what she does and hopes to work as a costume co-ordinator/designer/maker after she graduates. She has bundles of energy and the dedication to succeed.
